In love with you, DEW.
Dawn Ambassador Mirjam Smend tells in this love letterabout what she loves so much about the DEW.
A little over half a year ago, I wrote a love letter to the STARDUST because I had found the perfect model with the O-Shape. And by "perfect," I mean perfect. High-waisted yet cropped, incredibly comfortable yet stylish. That's why it has been and still is my faithful companion since January 2020.
And now? Now I'm writing another love letter. The culprit is the DEW. The new Dawn style entered my life a few weeks ago during a community shoot and immediately won over my (fashion) heart and then my wardrobe.
Welcome on Stage, Darling DEW!
I LOVE wide-leg trousers. Flared trousers. Marlene trousers. Whatever. As long as they're wide. Always have been. And they had long been completely absent from the public eye – except in vintage stores. Now this statement trouser is finally making its comeback. Welcome on Stage, DEW!
Why do I love the DEW so much?
The DEW by Dawn is a real winner. It simply fits perfectly and creates a fantastic figure. A high waist, fitted at the hips and a straight, floor-length cut come together to create what? Exactly. A great silhouette and an extra-long leg, which I still elongate a little more by tucking my blouse, shirt and jumper into the waistband at the front. Paired with my beloved block heels, I have a short Nadja Auermann moment.
Put it on. Feel great.
My favorite DEW? I'd rather not say because they're all so great. Different shades of blue and black meet different pocket styles –side entry, classic top entry or as an XS variant sewn on top. I ended up going with the very dark blue. It's so retro. So original. And I wasn't the only one who noticed. "Cool style – so 70s, Mimi". Even my 15-year-old twin girls were able to get the DEW out of the closet. I say so much: "It's so cool". Thank you for the happy mom moment, girls!
Easy peasy and always the right choice.
Selected pieces that are easy to combine, are my choice of the moment. And that's where the DEW comes in just right: With a blouse (or striped sweater!) and blazer for the office and events. With sneakers and a Fair Isle sweater on a Sunday walk in the Englischer Garten or at a friend's cabin. It also works great with a white T-shirt and bomber jacket or striped blouse and trench coat. The DEW simply goes with everything. 
To top it all off: When I fall onto the couch in the evening, I no longer need sweatpants – the DEW is at least just as comfortable.
